Funding Institutional Research with Crypto: ResearchHub Partners with Endaoment

With the launch of ResearchHub v2, we've introduced a powerful new feature: the ability to fund scientific research directly through preregistrations using ResearchCoin (RSC). This marks a big step forward in how science is funded: fast, transparent, and aligned with open science values.

Traditional grantmaking is notoriously slow and opaque. Crypto, by contrast, is global, traceable, and programmable. However, a challenge remained: how do digital assets like RSC reach research labs that still operate in fiat currency?

We are thrilled to partner with Endaoment to bridge this gap.

Endaoment provides crypto-native, IRS-compliant infrastructure to securely receive RSC donations, convert them into fiat, and transfer funds directly to university labs. Donors receive tax-deductible receipts for eligible projects, while researchers gain fast, accountable access to funding without bureaucratic hurdles.

Going forward, we also aim to enable tax-deductible funding for researchers not affiliated with universities, broadening access and accelerating scientific discovery on a global scale.
